September 7 - Hi, Koo!
Join in the fun as we visit the picture book exhibition, Zen Tales: The Art of Jon J Muth. In the studio, enjoy music and movement as you create colorful works of art! Read the whimsical story Hi, Koo, and learn about traditional Japanese poetry, while creating artwork inspired by Muth’s watercolors.
October 12 – Soundsuit Performance Lab
Visit the world of Nick Cave! Use a variety of art materials to create your very own wearable “soundsuit,” inspired by the soundsuits seen in Nick Cave: Feat. This fun-filled hour will end with your very own “soundsuit performance” in the galleries!
November 2 – Totally Tactile and Textural!
Explore the artwork of Nick Cave in the exhibition, Nick Cave: Feat. Join the fun in the studio by creating an interactive installation out of fabric, yarn, and found objects! Make your own tactile treasure to take home and share with loved ones.
December 7 – Angels Among Us
Discover the angelic artwork of Purvis Young in Purvis Young and His Angels. Be inspired by Young’s unique interpretations of an angel by creating your own version. Celebrate this holiday season by spreading your own angel wings!
Visitors: $12; $5 for additional children
Museum Members: $10; $5 for additional children

Full refunds will be provided if a class does not meet minimum enrollment and is cancelled. A refund equal to half of tuition paid will be provided for cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the first day of the class. No refunds, no exceptions, will be made if the cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to a class. Refund requests must be made in writing and should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.

With over 30 years of hands-on experience behind her, Catherine continues her journey as a lifelong learner, artist, educator, designer and “arts for all” advocate. She is honored to have the opportunities to share her love of art with children and families in museums, schools and art organizations throughout the southeast. A presenter at Art and Early Childhood conferences at the local, national and international levels, Catherine has spent her life working to engage people of all ages and abilities with the creative process.
