JUNE 3-7
9am-Noon or 1-4pm

Artists and Their Stories
Georgia O’Keeffe, Claude Monet, and Pablo Picasso will join the fun when Studio II becomes an artist retreat! Create works that will bring these artists to life using felt, paint, and air-dry clay, while learning how to slow stich, weave, and create masterpieces! On Thursday, students will be encouraged to dress up as their favorite artist and view the galleries as if they were walking the halls of the Louvre in Paris.

JUNE 10-14

Art with Feeling!
Discover the importance of perception and energy when creating art! Learn how artists like Monet, Van Gogh, and Matisse defied the rules and shook up the art world by painting how they felt about their subjects, rather than exactly how it looked in reality.

JUNE 17-21

Natural Connections
9am-Noon

Make new friends this week as you explore printmaking, painting, hand-building in clay, and other techniques to create t-shirts, jewelry, prints, paintings, and sculpture that convey messages of camaraderie and cooperation. Each student should bring a washed white cotton t-shirt clearly marked with his or her name. 

Art All Around
1-4pm

From everyday materials such as yarn and bottle caps to watercolor and acrylic paint, art can be created in so many ways. Explore art around us as we reuse, repurpose, and recycle ordinary things into extraordinary works of art!

Art in Nature
From natural pigments to objects that make sound, create as you explore how art connects to the natural world. Be inspired by patterns in nature and learn how other cultures use materials from the earth to create artwork and everyday objects.

Mini Masters
Release your inner artist as you create works of art in the style of the great masters, exploring different art movements and artists each day! Try your hand at Cubism in the style of Pablo Picasso, while also creating Pop Art prints inspired by Andy Warhol.

The Wonder of Color
Do you ever “see red” or “feel blue?” Discover the power of color this week as you explore the color wheel and color relationships. Learn how to create pigments, while also experimenting with warm and cool colors to find out how color creates a mood. Experience the importance of color when creating art!

JULY 15-19

Playing with Puppets
9am-Noon

Join us for mornings filled with puppet creation! Explore the history of puppet making around the world as you create your own puppets with a variety of materials and features. From sock puppets to finger puppets, hand puppets and marionettes, there’s a new puppet to discover and create every day. 

Pastel Passion
1-4pm

Discover a passion for pastel! Learn how to create unique works of art using chalk pastel, oil pastel, and charcoal using both wet and dry techniques. Explore how pastels can be used with colored pencil and watercolor!

Chihuligans!
Become a “Chihuligan” as you spend the week learning about the glass sculpture of Dale Chihuly and other artists who work in glass, while painting, printing, and sculpting! Light and color are the focus of this week as you create your own Chihuly-inspired masterpieces.

Time Travelers
Go back in time to explore art of the past, from prehistoric cave paintings to the landscapes of the French Impressionists. Stop in ancient Egypt, Renaissance Italy, and other hotspots of artistic achievement along the way!

AUGUST 5-9

Storybook Explorers
9am-Noon 

Venture into the land of make-believe in this camp combining art, literature, and drama! Explorers will be inspired by authors and illustrators as they expand their imagination, art skills, creativity, and self-expression. Stories will come to life through art, creative play, games, movement, and music.

Art of the Book
1-4pm

Become inspired by the picture book exhibition Our Voice: Celebrating the Coretta Scott King Illustrator Awards. Write your own stories, create illustrations using a variety of media, and learn simple bookbinding techniques to create unique storybooks!

Full Day, 9am-4pm or Half Day, 9am-noon or 1-4pm.
For full-day participation, students should bring a lunch and a drink.
Lunchtime supervision is provided for full-day attendance. Dress for a mess!

Full Day: 9am-4pm: $220/week
Half Day: 9am-noon or 1-4pm: $120/per week
Short Week, Full Day (July 1-3; no class on July 4 and 5): 9am-4pm: $130/week
Short Week, Half Day (July 1-3; no class on July 4 and 5): 9am-noon or 1-4pm: $70/per week

Non-Members:
Full Day: 9am-4pm: $240/week
Half Day: 9am-noon or 1-4pm: $130/per week
Short Week, Full Day: 9am-4pm: $145/week
Short Week, Half Day: 9am-noon or 1-4pm: $80/per week

Discounts*

Sibling/Group Discount
Enroll more than one child the same week of sessions and receive a $10/week discount for each additional child enrolled.  Discount only applies for children registered at the same time.

Multi-week Discounts
Receive a $10/week discount for multiple week enrollment after the first week.
