In collaboration with the Orlando Foundation for Architecture and featured exhibition artist JEFRË, the Orlando Museum of Art hosts a community-based art show focused on architecture, urban design and the broader concept of placemaking. Artists may submit works in a variety of media that illustrate the importance of the form and function in public spaces. Works may be inspired by existing architecture, imagined structures and scenes or aspirational designs of what the future of our community could hold. Art and architecture possess the equalizing power to bring people together in spite of differences in backgrounds, lifestyles and perception. How will you harness this power through your art and design work? In addition to the selected works, winning submissions of a separate design competition held by AIA Orlando will be on display in the OMA meeting rooms.
