Join us for a fun night of art! You will work alongside an art teacher to create your very own masterpiece. Students are asked to wear a face covering and will be spaced out throughout the classroom. Due to health concerns, beverages will not be served.

Wednesday, January 27: The Exquisite Corpse with Maria Coville
The Exquisite Corpse is a traditionally collaborative Surrealist parlor game where players create separate parts of a figure drawing while the preceding parts are hidden from view. Unlock your creative subconscious as you dream and experiment with drawing during this special workshop for adults! Due to health concerns, the drawing game has been adjusted for individual participation.

Wednesday, February 24: Graffiti Painting with Maria Coville
Graffiti is an unrestricted, rebellious art form. Learn the style and characteristics of pioneers like Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Banksy, and José Parlá prior to committing this expression from the streets to the canvas. Adult artists of all levels will be encouraged to experiment with color, texture, and lettering while creating a unique graffiti-inspired painting!

Engage in the fun, meditative act of paper folding as you create your own accordion books during this evening class for adults. Learn different folding techniques as you experiment with an array of colorful, patterned papers.

Wednesday, April 28: Altered Books with David Matteson
Break the librarian’s rules as we draw, paint, and collage into a printed book. We’ll also cover printmaking and transfer techniques easily replicable in your home studio. Participants are encouraged to bring a book to alter.
