Join Pat Greene as he shares his experiences with transforming public spaces and unused spots into unconventional places for performances and engaging exhibitions throughout our community.
October 4: Prints and the Collaborative Spirit
presented by Theo Lotz, Director, Flying Horse Editions, UCF
The director of UCF’s Flying Horse Editions will discuss the works in the exhibition Power of the Press, and the collaborative process between contemporary artists and trained printmaking artisans. Flying Horse Editions is a collaborative research studio for visual artists at the University of Central Florida.
November 1: Photography as Visual Storytelling and Community Memory
presented by Peter Schreyer, Director of Crealdé School of Art
Peter Schreyer will share observations and invite discussion about his favorite images from Bearing Witness: Early 20th-Century Photography from the Karen and Frederick Dawson Collection. As a working film-based photographer, he will also show important period cameras used in the creation of the historic images from the collection. Schreyer is a Swiss-born internationally exhibited, award-winning documentary photographer and the long-time director of Crealdé School of Art in Winter Park.
