September 25: What a Relief! The Art of Relief Printmaking
presented by The Central Florida Printmakers
Join five artists from The Central Florida Printmakers organization and learn about the process of relief printing. The artists will share their work and experiences working in this challenging medium. The Central Florida Printmakers is a 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to educating about fine art printmaking, and to supporting artists, educators and students through exhibits, workshops and scholarships.
Presenters will include: Fontaine Rodgers, President; Jennifer Harper, Harper Printmaking Studio; Meg Carroll, Vice President; Bronwyn Merritt, Treasurer; and Liliana Gerardi, member.

October 16: Rethink Skateboarding

As Albert Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” Skateboarding was not part of the thinking that caused the problems of our world, it has always been a response to those problems. Join Zach Moldof, a Florida arts and culture folk master of skateboard culture, for a special talk that highlights Florida’s incredible skateboard heritage, and skateboarding’s unique capacity to transform our society. Moldof is founder and executive director of Skate Bud, a non-profit dedicated to skateboard accessibility for all people, prioritizing disenfranchised communities.
November 6: Exploring the Power of Sketching and Play in the Creative Process
presented by Victor Davila and Ashley Taylor, UCF
Join UCF professors Victor Davila and Ashley Taylor as they explore the significance of sketching and incorporating play into the creative process. Both artists will emphasize the importance of playfulness in the creative process, highlighting how it helps maintain a sense of curiosity and joy in their work. Davila will share his insights on the value of keeping sketchbooks as a space for capturing ideas, experimenting with concepts, and exploring creativity without the pressure of perfection. Taylor will complement this by discussing her use of printmaking as a playful and experimental medium. She will explain how engaging with the physicality of print processes allows her to embrace unpredictability and trial-and-error, leading to surprising and inspiring results.
December 4: Eye Noise: A Life in Posters presented by Thomas Scott
Veteran graphic designer Thomas Scott has had a lifelong love of live music. He created flyers and posters for bands and concerts from the 1980s to 2010s. From cut and paste photocopies to highly detailed digital files converted to hand crafted screen prints. Thomas will present his work and discuss his involvement with the independent music scene in Central Florida over that time.

Thomas grew up and attended art school in Pennsylvania. He moved to Florida in the 1980s and worked at several design studios in Orlando, including his own, Eye Noise. Since 1997, Thomas has worked as a graphic designer for the Walt Disney Company.
