Special Event Planning/Public Relations Intern
Fall Term Needed
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT:
The Council of 101 at the Orlando Museum of Art, a non-profit organization within the museum with the purpose of raising money for the museum through fund raising events, is seeking an Event Planning Intern to assist with various duties within the Council. This person will assist the Office Manager with daily activities leading up to and during the Council’s major fundraising event for the Museum, the Festival of Trees.
To be determined by Intern’s schedule and department needs.
Academic credit in lieu of compensation
Interested candidates must have an interest or background in Event Planning. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills while exhibiting a high attention to detail. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to take initiative and work independently. Applicants must have a working knowledge of Email, Internet, Social Marketing (Facebook), Microsoft Word, Excel and Quicken. Pursuit of a college degree in arts administration, event planning, marketing, communications, public relations or accounting a plus.
