The Operations/Facility Rentals Department is seeking a highly motivated individual who is looking to gain experience working with an accredited cultural and educational organization assisting with various duties within the department. The Facility Rentals Intern will be working directly with the Facility Rentals Coordinator and will be responsible for assisting during the Orlando Museum of Art's rental events, maintaining and growing certain media outlet presence and assisting with the organization of events throughout. Some specific tasks will include: some wedding and corporate event coordinating, working with OMA's Marketing Department for social media, assisting with rental inquiries from potential clientele and aiding with other programs as specified by the Facility Rentals Coordinator.
Interested candidates must have (or be in the process of completing) a college-level education and have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. A professional temperament and an ability to relate with people in a business atmosphere and with people of diverse backgrounds is a MUST. Applicants should demonstrate proven communication and organizational skills and have the ability to multitask. Experience working with event planning outlets like AllSeated and Gather is a plus! Candidates must bring their own laptop computer.
