Marketing/Public Relations Intern
Summer Term Needed
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT:
The Council of 101 at the Orlando Museum of Art, a non-profit organization within the museum with the purpose of raising money for the museum through fund raising events, is seeking a Marketing / PR Intern to assist the VP of Marketing for our annual “Festival of Trees” fund-raiser. This candidate will work closely with the Marketing VP on marketing strategy execution, compile print media lists including local newspapers and magazines, reach out to and follow up with media contacts for media coverage, distribute press releases. Organize marketing materials: Brochures and flyers, Photos and images for social media, assist with promotions and marketing research, streamline the Direct Mail List(s).
To be determined by Intern’s schedule and department needs.
Academic credit in lieu of compensation
Interested candidates must have an interest or background in Marketing and PR. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills while exhibiting a high attention to detail. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to take initiative and work independently. Applicants must have a working knowledge of Email, Internet, Social Marketing (Facebook), Microsoft Word and Excel and. Knowledge or experience in graphic design a plus.
