Membership and Volunteer Coordinator

The Orlando Museum of Art is currently seeking a Membership and Volunteer Coordinator to start immediately.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Plan, organize, and manage the general membership campaigns to meet the annual operating budget goals and advance the institutional mission and vision. Manage the acquisition and retention programs of the museum’s membership program. Responsible for the maintenance of Raiser’s Edge and TAM database and overall ticketing systems.

Work to gain participation in the annual membership campaigns and garner financial support.

Solicit additional or contributed support in addition to general membership dues through cultivation cycles, including renewal letters, emails, and phone calls. Determine key members for the Director to solicit larger gifts and upper-level memberships. Acquire new members through multi-channel marketing, including targeted events and receptions.

Serve as the direct liaison to the museums collecting circles (Acquisition Trust and Friends of American Art) and assist with planning member and member cultivation events; participate in officer meetings; and maintain membership records.

Manage the museum volunteer program by processing volunteer applications, updating the volunteer e-mail list in MailChimp, sending volunteer e-news communications, and scheduling volunteers for special events and summer camps.

Manage database of volunteer hours within Raiser’s Edge.

 

Detail-oriented and accurate with the ability to communicate persuasively both orally and in writing. Ability to project pleasant personality with confidence, enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, and efficiency while furthering Museum goals. Must be able to deal with staff, the public, donors, Members, and volunteers in a tactful and courteous manner.  Must demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter. Proficient computer and office skills.  Demonstrate complete confidentiality relating to Members and donor information. Plan effectively to meet deadlines and sales goals. Must be multiple-task-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Three years of sales experience, preferably with a membership-based organization. Professional demeanor and appearance required.
