Family Day at the Orlando Museum of Art is a free, museum-wide celebration of art for children and their caregivers. On select dates, families are invited to explore the galleries, make art together, and enjoy kid-friendly activities that connect to current exhibitions or themes. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. You can move at your own pace, choose the activities that suit your family, and spend time creating and looking at art together.
Programs may include hands-on projects, storytelling, music, or live entertainment, depending on the date. Each Family Day offers a different mix of experiences, so there is always something new to discover.

Who It’s For:
What Happens During a Typical Session:
During Family Day, you can explore a range of activities. Staff and volunteers guide simple art projects that children and adults can complete together. Docents are available to answer questions in the galleries and there may be activities that help kids look closely at the artwork. In other spaces, you may find music, storytelling, or interactive performances that connect to the day’s theme.
Families are welcome to stay for a short visit or make an afternoon of it. You can step in and out of activities, take breaks as needed, and return to favorite areas. Food vendors may be on-site, and specific partners or performers can change from one Family Day to the next.
