Family Art Programs

Art Adventures

Come on an adventure at OMA! Join us for a workshop featuring a hands-on art activity in the studio and a visit to the gallery. Explore materials and techniques in a stimulating and inviting environment that fosters engagement and creativity for young children and their favorite grown-ups. This workshop is ideal for children ages 2-10.

Birthday Parties

Make plans to celebrate your child’s special day with the gift of art! Choose one of our fun-filled party themes, all of which include dynamic art activities and a gallery experience. Each young artist will leave with their own work of art as a lasting reminder of the celebration.

Family Day

Join us for Family Days, fun afternoons filled with hands-on art and gallery activities, storytelling, and special performances. Family Days are free and perfect for families looking for quality family time and memory-making.

Family Highlights Tours

This docent-led tour provides opportunities for meaningful conversations with your entire family. Follow along with a docent as they take you from gallery to gallery, highlighting various works. Family Highlights Tours are FREE, with paid gallery admission on the first Saturday of each month.

Peru Independence Day Celebration

Come learn about Peruvian culture and the traditional dance performed by the Raymi Dance School. This event is FREE! More details to come!

Sketching in the Galleries

Practice your drawing skills with the provided supplies in our galleries. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, you can explore the art of sketching while surrounded by inspiring works of art. Available on select Saturdays and Access for All days.

Stroller Tours

Take a stroll through the galleries with infants and toddlers in tow! Join a museum educator for a tour of OMA, which will include lively discussion and engaging experiences. Crying and chatty babies are welcome! Both babies and adults can gaze at colorful and intriguing works of art without the fear of being disruptive. This tour offers something for everyone! Pre-registration is encouraged.
