Festival of Trees returns to Orlando Museum of Art

Nov. 14–22

For nearly four decades, the Council of 101’s Festival of Trees has marked the start of the holiday season in Orlando. The tradition returns to the Orlando Museum of Art, Nov. 14–22, with its 40th annual celebration themed “Forty Seasons of Joy”

Guests will be surrounded by dazzling displays including more than 50 designer-decorated trees, festive wreaths, gingerbread creations, holiday vignettes, and tabletop displays. Visitors can shop in the Holiday Boutique, stroll Santa Claus Lane, enjoy live entertainment scheduled daily, and dine in the Festival Café. On weekends, Santa Claus will be on hand for photos and meet-and-greets from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. New events include creative holiday workshops.

With the support of Platinum Presenting Advent Health, Festival of Trees welcomes the community to enjoy holiday magic daily from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Admission is $23 for adults, $15 for children ages 3–12, and $15 for seniors (60+) active-duty military, and first responders with a valid ID. Guests can also stop by the Festival Café, open from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. each day, for seasonal bites and treats.

🎄 OPENING NIGHT TREEVIEW PARTY- Friday, November 13 

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Step out in your Holiday Chic to enjoy an advanced look at our outstanding display of designer-decorated Christmas trees with seasonal entertainment, creative food offerings and much more! 

🧑‍🎄  BREAKFAST WITH SANTA- Saturday, November 14, Sunday, November 15 and Saturday, November 21  

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

A morning of making memories with a hot breakfast served, face-painters, crafts, balloon artists, and lots of celebration for the entire family and of course a photo op with Santa Claus.

🎁 From the White House to Your House, Holiday Workshop – Saturday, November 14

Time: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Inside the Magic of Decorating The White House at Christmas, with Local Interior Designer. Step behind the historic velvet ropes and experience what it’s like to decorate The People’s House for Christmas through the eyes of Winter Park’s own interior designer, Lindsay Matteoni—Owner, Creative Director, and Lead Muralist of MSTR Interior Design Studio.

Time: 7:30 p.m – 9:30 p.m

Break out your boldest holiday knit and join us! Enjoy live music, a cash bar with festive cocktails, and a lively costume contest that crowns the tackiest (and most fabulous)sweaters of the night. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season—festive, fabulous, and just a little bit tacky.

💄 SHIMMER & SPICE, Holiday Workshop- Sunday, November 15

Time: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Join in the fun! Learn how to achieve radiant skin, luscious red lips, and flawless eye makeup for the busy holiday season! Expert film and television make-up artist, Leslie Christin, owner of local Cara Studios, will be sharing simple glam tips and a makeup demonstration, perfect for the holidays! 

🍽️ THE FESTIVE PLATTER: HOLIDAY APPETIZER DEMONSTRATION & TASTING- Sunday November 15

Time: 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Master the art of holiday entertaining in this delicious, chef demonstration-style cooking class.  With our expert chef, you will learn professional plating techniques, time-saving prep shortcuts, and flavor pairing secrets while enjoying generous tastings of every dish.

🎀 BAUBLES & BRANCHES, Holiday Workshop- Saturday, November 21

Time: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Enhance your holiday decorating skills by learning how to create elaborate and beautiful bows.  With a local designer, attendees will explore various bow-making techniques and styles to craft stunning bows for wreaths and trees.

💝 SENIORS DAY Salute to Seniors- Wednesday, November 18

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm. 

Join us for Holiday fun and special entertainment throughout the day; lunch and refreshments for purchase in the Holiday Café. Discount tickets for ages 60 and over.

✨ FESTIVAL AFTER 5 – General Admission  “after hours”- Thursday, November 19

Time: 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Celebrate the season by strolling through beautifully decorated holiday trees enjoying festive sights and sounds, discovering Holiday Cookie Stops, and making memories with family and friends during one of Central Florida’s most beloved holiday traditions.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

🦌 REINDEER ROMP CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY PARTY- Friday, November 20

Time: 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

A festive family event for all ages! The event includes all access to the Festival of Trees plus an opportunity to visit Santa Claus Lane to meet and have a photo with Santa Claus. Entertainment includes story time with Mrs. Claus, holiday balloons, festive face painters, live holiday music sing-along, and reindeer stilt walkers. Dinner is available with a family-friendly menu in our Holiday Cafe (additional charges for food and beverage).

🍸 SIP & SLEIGH COCKTAIL PARTY – Festival Finale- Saturday, November 21

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Ring in the Holiday season with an evening that sparkles! The Sip & Sleigh Cocktail Party brings together the magic of the holidays with the energy of a festive night out.  Enjoy jazzy holiday music, sip on seasonal cocktails, while also enjoying the other features of the festival such as beautifully decorated trees and the inspiring holiday tablescapes.  Gather your friends, dress in your holiday best, and get ready for a night of music and making great holiday memories. Food and drinks for purchase

🇺🇲 HEROES DAY- Monday, November 22

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Ticket Price: discounted admission – $15 per person (with valid ID)

We proudly honor the individuals who dedicate their lives to serving our communities. Discounted admission is available to active-duty and retired military personnel, first responders, and teachers with a valid ID. Join us as we celebrate your service and enjoy the beauty and spirit of the holiday season. Special entertainment, lunch and refreshments for purchase in the Holiday Café.

About the Council of 101
The Council of 101 was founded in 1965 to further the cultural development and appreciation of the visual arts in Central Florida. Today, this outstanding group of volunteers comprises an organization of nearly 300 women. These dedicated members devote countless volunteer hours with boundless energy, lending their strong personal skills to the annual fundraising projects that provide significant financial support to the Orlando Museum of Art. This level of support is achieved through the Festival of Trees and the Art in Bloom projects. The Council of 101 purchases, through the Corporate Lease Program, Museum-quality prints created by contemporary American artists and gifts them to the Orlando Museum of Art. Prints from this collection may be leased by local businesses through the program administered by the Council of 101. The Council of 101, since its inception, has contributed over $15 million towards art, exhibits, facility renovation and Orlando Museum of Art’s operating expenses.

During Festival of Trees, general admission ticket holders will enjoy enchanting décor, more than 50 designer-decorated trees, exceptional gingerbread houses and wreaths. Visitors will also participate in the crowd favorite Entertaining and Design tablescapes raffle, Silent Auction, photo ops with Santa and more. In addition, there will be a holiday shopping experience in our Toyland, pop-up Boutique as well as live entertainment throughout the event.    

A variety of special events, including the Opening Night Party, Breakfast with Santa, and a children’s Reindeer Romp party will add a special holiday touch to this year’s Festival of Trees.  Weekday events will include Seniors Day and a Military Appreciation Day.  

The Festival of Trees is organized by the Council of 101 and relies on the generous support of sponsors, entertainers, chefs, designers, decorators, and the attendees who purchase the trees, wreaths, gingerbread house creations, and visit the pop-up shops. The Council of 101 was established in 1965 to further the cultural development and education of the visual arts in Central Florida, in accordance with the mission of the OMA. The Council of 101 has been instrumental in giving the museum more than $14 million since 1965.
