Teachers

Help your family connect and broaden their horizons by participating in one of our engaging programs. Giving children a strong base within the arts teaches practical skills, self-discipline, confidence, creativity and critical thinking, and provides an outlet for artistic expression. It’ll be quality fun the whole family can enjoy!

These workshops are designed to help teachers make meaningful interdisciplinary classroom connections with works of art and learn innovative teaching strategies to bring back to the classroom.
Students of all ages can explore our galleries, participate in thought-provoking discussions, and engage with works of art in exhibitions ranging from original picture book illustrations to contemporary and traditional works! Our interdisciplinary tours use inquiry discussions to explore various aspects of the OMA’s collections and special exhibitions, sparking creativity and stressing critical thinking skills. Field trips align with curriculum standards and complement classroom lessons.
In partnership with the University of Central Florida, the Orlando Museum of Art is pleased to provide educational resources for educators, students and families at the Resource Center (TRC).
