Community Access

At the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA), we believe art has the power to inspire and connect everyone. Our Community Access Programs create welcoming spaces for individuals with disabilities, health challenges, and diverse backgrounds to explore, create, and share the joy of art and self-expression.

For over 25 years, this program has brought enriching art experiences to senior adults unable to visit the museum. Art on the Go encourages reminiscing and connections with lifetime experiences through engaging discussions using art reproductions and hands-on objects.
In collaboration with Zebra Youth, this program uses art as a tool for self-expression and growth among LGBTQ+ youth. Journaling, art-making, and gallery explorations foster confidence and a sense of belonging.
Through Art’s the Spark, individuals with neurological impairments and their healthy caregivers engage in stimulating art experiences. This program encourages meaningful conversations and connections through gallery tours and art-making sessions.
It is designed for individuals with physical or developmental disabilities and those on the autism spectrum. It combines gallery tours with studio activities. Sessions for children and adults ensure an inclusive, safe, and engaging experience for participants and their families.
Breast cancer survivors find healing and self-expression through Illume, a program that combines art-making, reflection, and group discussions. This program nurtures community and resilience and supports participants on their recovery journey.

In addition to Community Access Programs, OMA provides exciting learning programs for adults, children, families, educators, and art lovers of all ages and interests:
