Visiting the Museum

How long does it take to go through your galleries?
Most visitors spend 1–2 hours viewing the exhibitions, though individual shows may take more or less time.

What art is currently on display?
Stay up to date with what’s on view by visiting our current exhibitions page, or explore our permanent collections.

What’s happening at the Orlando Museum of Art?

OMA hosts rotating exhibitions, special events like Art in Bloom and Festival of Trees, and educational programs for all ages year-round. Learn more about what’s upcoming on our programs and events pages.

Do I need to make reservations?
No, tickets are available at the door and can also be purchased online.

Where can I park?
Free parking is available in front of OMA during regular hours. During special events like Festival of Trees & Art in Bloom, parking in Loch Haven Park is $7.00.

Are there hotels nearby?
Yes, there are many great accommodations near OMA. Check out HotelsCombined or KAYAK for options.

Can I volunteer at OMA?
Absolutely! We have a variety of volunteer opportunities.

Accessibility and Amenities

Do you offer wheelchairs?
Yes. Wheelchairs are available free of charge. OMA is fully accessible for visitors with disabilities, you can find more information on our Plan Your Visit page

Can I bring a stroller?
Yes, strollers are welcome in the galleries.

Do you have a restaurant or café?
OMA does not currently have a permanent restaurant, but temporary cafés are available during Festival of Trees and Art in Bloom events. There are also many restaurants within minutes of the museum.

Is there a gift shop?
Yes, ShopOMA offers unique gifts, art books, and more—discounted for members.

Does OMA host private events or weddings?
Yes, OMA has several unique event spaces. Learn more on our venue rentals page.

What kinds of programs does OMA offer?
The Orlando Museum of Art offers a variety of programs for all ages—including art classes, workshops, lectures, and family events. Whether you’re looking to learn, create, or connect with others through art, there’s something for everyone. Visit our learn page for more information.

Museum Policies

Can I bring my camera or camcorder? Is photography allowed?

Photography is allowed for personal, non-commercial use only. Photographs may not be published, sold, reproduced, distributed or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner.

When taking pictures, please adhere to the following rules and regulations

  • No flash photography allowed at any time
  • No tripods
  • No selfie sticks
  • No monopods
  • No movie or video cameras
  • No drones
  • No props or wardrobe changes
  • No photographing or videoing of OMA guests or staff.
  • No photo or video shoots are permitted unless arranged and approved by OMA.

Please contact OMA info@omart.org to inquire about professional photography and filming.

A photo/video shoot is defined as professional or amateur portrait photography such as engagement, graduation, family, maternity, portfolio, prom, wedding and any other special occasion or posed photo/video session. These posed photo sessions interfere with the visiting experience of other guests. OMA staff reserves the right to determine whether an activity constitutes a photoshoot. This policy includes both camera and cell phone photography.

Can I use images from your website for a school project or other personal use?
Yes, If you need to save an image from our website for non-commercial personal or classroom use, you are able to do so without written permission, within the meaning of the principles of “fair use.” Appropriate credit to the Orlando Museum of Art should appear with the image. Images on our site which are credited to another person or organization may not be used without that party’s permission.

Why is the Museum closed on Mondays?
OMA is closed to the public on Mondays for gallery updates and maintenance. (Exception: open during Festival of Trees.)

Are pets allowed in the museum?
Due to the fragile nature of many of our exhibitions, no pets are allowed in the museum. Registered service animals are, of course, always welcome.

Membership

What are the perks of an OMA membership?
OMA members enjoy year-round free admission, event invites, discounts on programs and ShopOMA merchandise, and access to reciprocal museum networks. Memberships start at just $65 for individuals and $100 for families, with special rates for seniors, educators, students, and more.

What if I haven’t received my OMA membership card yet?

No problem! You can still use your membership benefits. Just provide your membership ID or name at the Visitor Information Services desk. For program discounts before receiving your card, contact:

Art and Collections

Do you offer appraisals?

No. The Museum does not offer appraisals. You may contact the American Society of Appraisers at 1-800-272-8258 or visit www.appraisers.org.

Can I donate art to the museum?
Yes! OMA welcomes artwork donations that enhance our permanent collection. All submissions must be approved in advance—please do not send or deliver works without prior review by our curatorial team. To propose a gift, email or mail a Letter of Intent with your contact info, artwork details, provenance, and images to:
