New York artist Elizabeth Peyton has made a name for herself with her portraits of rock stars, celebrities, pop icons and her friends, often androgynous men in a restful pose. Her touch is delicate, and the renderings of her sitters done in a sensitive manner and tone. This particular monotype, M. J., is of her friend, clothing designer Marc Jacobs.
