Art Adventures

Catherine Cross

Select Fridays, 9:30-10:30am

Art Adventures is a first adventure with the art-making process, with preschool children ages 3-5, in mind. The program offers exploratory experiences in a stimulating, inviting, and safe environment using age-appropriate materials that foster engagement and creativity. Encouraged to work at their own pace and comfort level, children develop confidence and self-awareness as they strengthen fine motor skills and creative thinking. Each session includes art literature, a bit of music and movement, a gallery visit, and playful art experiences! Dress for a mess!

January 12 - Arctic Art
Be inspired by Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? by Eric Carle to make animal tracks in the snow and clay igloos, and experiment with ice painting. Brrr!

February 9 - HeARTs Galore for Those You Adore!
Share your love by creating hearts to give to someone special. Create prints, paintings, and embellishments inspired by Miriam Schapiro.

March 16 - Painting the Sky
Become inspired with a reading of Night Becomes Day by Richard McGuire. Explore the colors of both the morning and night sky using watercolor and clay!

April 13 - The Sights and Sounds of the Seminole
