Mindfulness Meditation at the Museum

Explore the foundations of insight meditation in this three-part series set within the inspiring environment of the Orlando Museum of Art. Through guided instruction and practice, participants will learn techniques to cultivate greater presence and awareness while exploring how a regular meditation practice can support well-being, resilience, clarity, and ease. Each session will include a guided meditation and time for reflection, questions, and discussion in a welcoming community of fellow participants.

What Happens During a Typical Session:

Each session begins with a brief commentary or instruction on an aspect of insight meditation, followed by a guided meditation practice. Participants will have the opportunity to experience mindfulness techniques that encourage relaxation, acceptance, gratitude, attentiveness, and awareness of the present moment.

Sessions conclude with time for questions and reflection, allowing participants to ask about the practice or share insights from their own experience.

About the Instructor:

Lezlie Laws is a former professor of English at Rollins College, a well-being coach, a yoga teacher certified through the Hard and the Soft Yoga Institute, and a student and practitioner of meditation for more than 50 years. Drawing on ancient contemplative practices, she shares skills, strategies, and insights that have guided her own lifelong spiritual journey.
