Discover how insects, arachnids, and crustaceans inspire innovative art and design! Students will explore the natural beauty of arthropods through drawing, sculpture, and mixed media, learning how their intricate forms influence fashion, architecture, and more. Expect hands-on projects and plenty of opportunities to think outside the hive.

JUNE 23-27      

MORNING SESSION

9 a.m.-noon ONLY                   Legendary Concepts: Mythology in Entertainment Design

Dive into the rich world of myths and legends to create unforgettable designs for games, films, and books! Students will explore the storytelling traditions of different cultures, learning to craft characters, costumes, and settings rooted in epic tales. Expect to develop mood boards, sketch original designs, and present a final portfolio inspired by timeless mythology.

JULY 7-11

9 a.m.-noon ONLY       Infinity Stones & Broken Bones: Mastering the Art of Graphic Storytelling

Bring your comic book visions to life by mastering the fundamentals of graphic storytelling! Students will learn to craft compelling narratives, design dynamic characters, and create dramatic layouts. Expect to experiment with scripting and inking while producing your own mini-comic by the end of the camp.

JULY 21-25

MORNING SESSION

9 a.m.-noon ONLY                   Legends and Leviathans: Fantasy Creature Design

Unleash your imagination as you design creatures that could inhabit fantastical worlds! Students will explore anatomy, mythology, and evolutionary principles to create believable beasts for novels, games, or films. Expect to brainstorm creature concepts, sketch detailed illustrations, and present a creature design portfolio showcasing your unique vision.
