Job Opening: Operations Assistant

The Orlando Museum of Art is seeking a part-time Operations Assistant.  The position is available immediately and is responsible for the care and security of the building and its contents. You will be responsible for opening and closing the building, always maintaining the highest level of safety and security. Other responsibilities are to set up and take down chairs, tables, pedestals, and any equipment needed for all meetings, events, and rentals. Must know how to operate audio-visual equipment, including but not limited to sound systems, slides, video, and overhead projectors, microphones, etc. Perform minor building repairs and maintenance, including painting, replacing light bulbs, electrical and plumbing, carpet cleaning, window washing, and other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief of Operations. Must work well with vendors and contractors. The position requires working evenings, weekends, some holidays, and during inclement weather.

Must be an organized self-starter able to communicate well with staff, volunteers, and customers in a respectful manner. Ability to work well under pressure. Have a professional demeanor and appearance.
