Untitled (Five Fingered Bowl)

Using cedar as her primary medium, Ursula von Rydingsvard’s sculpture can suggest crude primary structures, geological formations or utilitarian objects such as bowls and tools. Combined in this work are references to the hand, five fingers, and the vessel which can be read as ceremonial.
