Contemporary Voices: Celebrating 40 Years of Acquisition Trust

Throughout the last 40 years the OMA’s Acquisition Trust has supported the purchase of nearly 50 artworks of exceptional quality to enhance the contemporary (post-1970) art collection of the museum, including the work of reputable artists of diverse international background, such as Shirin Neshat, Bisa Butler, Louise Bourgeois, Robin Rhode, Nick Cave, Kerry James Marshall, and Robert Rauschenberg to name a few. This exhibition will celebrate the impact of 40 years of collecting outstanding contemporary artworks for the OMA’s permanent collection, which over the years have enabled the production of a plethora of exhibitions and educational programing.
